Bickley Valley Retreat is located right in the heart of the Perth Hills Wine Region. With just a handful of wineries all within easy access of each other, you can visit them all in a day! The Perth Hills is also home to orchards, famers’ markets, local produce stalls and market gardens. You can also explore arts and crafts at the many galleries dotted throughout the rolling landscape, and pickup a unique handcrafted souvenir. For hikers and cyclists there are trails aplenty, and nature lovers will not be disappointed.

The Perth Hills Wine Region is home to award winning wineries and restaurants, plus a multi awarded cider house. This region is not overcrowded with vineyards and cellar doors, and is still pretty much a divine secret location, so stay for 2 days over a weekend and you will get to visit them all!

The picturesque hilly terrain of the Perth Hills is the most ideal location to celebrate a wedding or a special occasion party. And with so many Bed & Breakfast accommodation venues in the area you are spoilt for choice as to where to kip for the night after the big event.

WALK & BIKE TRAILS The start of the famous Bibbulmun track is just 5 minutes drive from our accommodation, and right in our backyard is a State Forest with many wonderful walk trails just teaming with flora and fauna. If you want a fast and exhilirating experience, we are surrounded by many mountain bike trails and horse riding trails.

The Perth Hills is dotted with so many gorgeous places where you can celebrate a truly special day, be it a wedding or any other major celebratory occasion. Guests can relax and enjoy themselves before the occasion, and after the celebration, at one of the many accommodation venues, including ours!

BEAUTIFUL WALK TRAILS & CYCLE TRACKS

The Bibbulmun Track, a renowned walking track popular with hikers from all around the world, commences in Kalamunda. The renowned Munda Biddi cycling track also loops through the forests not far from Bickley Valley Retreat. There are also many short forest walks in the area abounding with beauty and nature.

We love all the wineries in the Bickley and Carmel wine region, and so will you. Visit Ashley Estate, Plume, Brookside, Hainaults, Myattsfield, Fairbrossen, Carldenn, and Due Jolly. And of course, let us not forget the sensational Core Cider House who make amazing cider AND wine!

Perth Hills Bed & Breakfast Accommodation, Perth WA

Wineries Bickley Valley Retreat is on Aldersyde Road, home to amazing wineries such as Aldersyde Estate and Ashley Estate (which is quite literally just over the road from the retreat) and just a couple of minutes drive down the picturesque meandering country road is beautiful Brookside Vineyard. At the end of our street, along Walnut Road, you will find the fabulous Hainault Winery where you can treat yourself to their luscious sparkling Pinot Noir, and Lyn’s delicious homemade cakes. Other award winning wineries that you simply must visit in the Perth Hills are Myattsfield and right next door to them is Cosham Wines. With two more wineries left to visit, Fairbrossen Estate and Carldenn Wines you may want to spread your Perth Hills wine tasting experience over two days. Whatever you decide to do, don’t forget to bring back a bottle of velvety smooth red to enjoy in your private heated spa under the stars. For those of you who like Cider, the award winning Core Cider House is just 15 minutes drive from our doorstep. Try the Cider, and then enjoy lunch on the deck overlooking the sweeping orchard.

Golf Courses There are several golf courses that are located 10 minutes to 30 minutes from Bickley Valley Retreat. If you are interested in golf, let us know and we can book you in for a tee-off! Do Nothing Many of guests stay at Bickley Valley Retreat to unwind and absorb the peaceful ambience of the property. They spend endless hours in the spa, read books, eat food, take leisurely naps and generally just nurture themselves. The choice is yours - doing everything … or do nothing.
